Therapeutic Storytelling Intervention (TSI) Training

Foundation Training can be provided for established groups (20-25 participants). People who would like individual training are able to use the Professional's Kit for this purpose. All other training on enquiry.

There are three levels of training for the Therapeutic Storytelling Intervention (TSI) system:

• Foundation Training • Certification Training • Advanced Training

Foundation Training

Foundation Training teaches Therapeutic Storytelling Intervention (TSI) to a level that enables participants to use the book Gem of the First Water and engage The Gem Journey with small groups. Trainees are:

• Introduced to the book, Gem of the First Water and the Journey Guide for Gem of the First Water.
• Introduced to the Foundations of TSI.
• Taught the basic principles that underlie the TSI process.
• Introduced to the skills of TSI storytelling.
• Taught to run a TSI group.

A Therapeutic Storytelling Intervention International Ltd, Foundation Training Certificate, is gained through this training.

Certification Training

The Certification Training teaches the Therapeutic Storytelling Intervention (TSI) practitioner to use the TSI system as a therapeutic tool. In this training participants are introduced to:

• The books, The Travels of Plymouth and And Then It Happened and the Journey Guides associated with these books.
• The Travels and Happenings developmental and therapeutic processes.
• Oral storytelling using the TSI process.
• Skills for therapeutic engagement through the Therapeutic Storytelling Intervention system.

Participants gain Therapeutic Storytelling Intervention Certification through this training.

(The Foundation Training or the purchase and demonstrated use of The Professional Training Kit are a prerequisite for Certification Training.)

Advanced Training

The Advanced Training particularises the Therapeutic Storytelling (TSI) system to the particular professional environments of the participants and teaches trainees to adapt the TSI system to unique group contexts.
